Petr Chu

I have always seen how I dress as a way to distinguish myself from the crowd. It bothers me that too many people dress similarly, lacking the courage to stand out. I believe that being looked at is not a bad thing. I’m not trying to shock people with what I wear, but rather to awaken their interest.

I wanted to be a designer since I was a child. I studied design at the Secondary School of Textile Technology in Prague’s Holešovice district. I have been involved in fashion for over ten years, and my first personal project was a collection of hand-painted upcycled shirts.

I would describe my current collection with the phrases “basic in a different way” or “a slightly different basic.” My intention is to make the ordinary extraordinary. I want to teach people that something that can serve as a wardrobe staple doesn’t have to be boring; it doesn’t have to be identical to what you see everywhere a hundred times a day.

Through my work, I want to offer people unisex fashion that is universal yet unique, authentic, and above all, accessible. I want those who wear my clothing to share some of my courage to attract attention. I wish for them to not be afraid to be themselves. My goal isn’t to put everyone in the same clothes to promote my design. The clothing of my brand has its own identity, which distinguishes it from the surrounding mundanity, but it is also versatile enough for everyone to wear it in their own way, using their creativity and imagination.
